Leaves and Leaves...and More Leaves

It was so sweet of Sebastian and Natalie to sit with Pepper in the leaves for pictures! Grandma only had to bribe them with 5 pieces of candy. Pepper couldn't wait to get her hands...and mouth on more leaves!

Its true, I cannot stop myself from taking pictures...especially pictures of our cute little girl! She has now figured out how to stick out her tongue. She entertained the row behind us at church for quite a while showing off her new skill. So glad I was able to capture it a couple of times!

Beautiful blue eyed girls

Our good friends Sherisa, Broc, and Emmarie were in town this weekend. We all had busy schedules but we were able stop by for a short visit. It was very fun watching the two girls together now that they are a little bit older. I set Pepper down by Emmarie and she immediately pulled off her sock. Then reached for her other sock. Next she started pulling on her pants. I'm not sure what that was all about, but I am realizing that we will need to teach our daughter some manners. The rest of the time, Pepper seemed content just to look at her friend...or at Daddy when he was making funny faces. Emmarie is growing fast, with the most amazing thigh rolls I have ever seen! She is also so vocal, Pepper could not get a word in edgewise! I love to see the differences and similarities in the two girls. They are so precious!

As winter approaches, we have to take advantage of these beautiful fall days. A walk at Benington Lake was perfect! Sebastian and Natalie had a good time on their bikes and everyone else walked. Pepper snuggled in the Ergo with Aunt Kitty Kat. What a fun, relaxing day!

Cousins

Pepper loves watching her older cousins.  They are sweet enough to spend time making funny faces, holding a book for her to look at, or "helping" her jump in her jumparoo. She also was held by Natalie a couple of times!

Autumn is Here

So much fun in one weekend! Pepper suddenly decided to sit on her own, which worked out perfectly for my pictures in the leaves. She loves sitting in the grass and leaves, especially since she gets to feel and taste them!

We are so excited to have Auntie Ingrid and Cousin Natalie here from Houston to meet Pepper for the first time. We are also lucky to have Aunt Kitty Kat and Cousin Sebastian visiting for the second weekend in a row! Pepper gets so much love and so many kisses. She is a blessed little girl!

Our bedtime routine is so much fun! We usually spend time playing and "talking" while we get her pajamas on. She gets out the last of her energy and we get to focus completely on her. She loves this one and one time with Mommy and Daddy. 

Right now her favorite thing is a tag blanket that Tina's mom made her. She carefully touches each tag like it is something rare and delicate. She also has to taste them, of course. What a cool gift!

The Jogging Giraffe

Getting time to exercise is now even harder due to early sundown. We sometimes are desperate enough to brave the road in the dark. Pepper loves it and stays toasty warm in her giraffe fleece. We have flashing red lights all over Pepper's stroller and Jo carries a light to get the attention of drivers. Most of the time cars are polite and get way over, other times I end up shaking my fist at them a little. Too bad it is dark so they can't appreciate my gesture... All in all, it is worth it for a bit of fresh air and exercise.
