Alki
Usually we enjoy Alki Beach for an awesome breakfast restaurant. This time Luis and Jo took the girls out there while I was finishing up my last day of lecture. The weather was cool, but you can see that the girls did not mind at all. Sand is sand, always fun to play in and fill shoes with, even when it is cold out.

Seattle Aquarium
The day that Jo and Luis decided to take the girls to the aquarium, I looked over my schedule and found that the most useless and boring of talks was right at the time they would be coming downtown. How fun to skip lecture and meet them for some fun! Pepper was in awe of it all. I love the pictures of her mouth hanging open, because that is exactly how she looked most of the time. Afterwards we ate lunch at a restaurant on the water. I love Seattle!

Seattle Sun
We were so excited to have amazing weather for most of our time in Seattle. Tina and Luis took us to a great park near their house so that the girls could get their wiggles out. The park had a little of everything; a great playground, lots of huge stretches of grass, sidewalks to run on, teenagers at a skate park to stare at, and a great view of the city in the distance. Also it happened to be in the flight path of SEATAC airport. Pepper was so excited to see the "BIG, BIG airplanes". We ended up just laying on the grass and watching those huge planes fly over us. What a fun outing!

A Visit to Seattle
It pleases me very much when a medical conference is in a place where we a.) like to go, b.) have friends/family to visit, and c.) can drive to it. Thankfully the dialysis conference was in Seattle this year. Jo and Pepper came along and we crashed at Luis and Tina's. I was gone all day in meetings and Tina was gone most of the days at work, but the kids, Jo and Luis had a blast every day. And evenings were excellent, filled with the best food and company ever! Luna was very sweet to share her toys with Pepper, and Pepper loved "helping" with Marisol. Thank you to the Kack's for a very fine time this weekend!
