5 Weeks- Full of Fackenthall Fun!

As soon as the Canwell clan left, Peter, Joy and their girls arrived.  We were so excited to see them! Isabella and Gabrielle are getting so big. They are such sweet girls. It is fun to hear them sing (they have beautiful voices) and to hear Gabrielle's current habit of adding "y" onto everything she says. For instance, there is a spoony, cuppy, shoesies and Grammy. I just can't figure out how she remembers to keep that up all the time! The girls were pretty enthralled with Pepper even though she is a bit boring at this stage. They would frequently gaze at her repeating, "She is sooooo cute!" and Gabrielle calls her "Baby Peppa". Pepper is very blessed to have cousins near her age to play with someday soon. I can't wait to watch their friendship grow through the years. Thank you to Peter and Joy for driving so far to see us!
Pepper had quite a week of growth. She packed on 1 lb 7 oz in one week and has grown an inch since birth. We are so relieved to have her weight going up so steadily!

Meeting the Canwell Uncles

Aaron and Carl both live out of town so they planned their trip to see Pepper when the family was congregating for grad. They are first time uncles and it was so fun to see them fall in love with her. They both will be wonderful fathers someday. Mindy and Nikki also were so awesome with her! I can't help but say that we can't wait until Pepper gets some Canwell cousins!

Grad Festivities

We have a tradition of getting together after grad and eating, of course. Also Jo and Andrew continued the tradition of making the graduates prove their skills in a challenge course before letting them loose in the "real" world. I missed the challenge this year due to a very hungry baby, and Jo was too busy to take many pictures, but I heard it was quite fun. Jamie and Allison fought it out and though there were some bumps and bruises involved, there were no serious injuries involved, we hope.
We will miss Allison around Walla Walla but are very proud of her accomplishments. She will do well wherever she goes. Jamie is already an excellent teacher but her masters degree means she will be paid more. Go Jamie!!! Nikki will be an amazing RN! We are lucky to have her joining the medical community. Congrats to all!

We are very proud of the grads in our family: Allison, Nikki, and Jamie. The weekend was a whirlwind between meals, pinnings, hoodings, and graduation. We had a lot of fun and it is always a blessing to get to spend time with our family.
