Friday night we met up with Jamie and another friend from Brewster days, Melissa (Brownfield) Price. She and her husband are living down in Loma Linda area, so we try to meet up when we are down there. Her husband Ryan, was off climbing a mountain so we missed him this time. They have two amazing children, Kainoa and Ella.  Ella is a couple of months younger than Pepper. She has the best little giggle (more like low throaty chuckle) and, much to my delight, she does it without any provocation, even to complete strangers. Kainoa is an active little guy who keeps Melissa very busy. He loves books! We visited all evening but it passed far too quickly. Hopefully someday Melissa and fam will head back to the Northwest so we can see them more often!

Program Project, Part 4

All it takes to REALLY get things done is to get the bridesmaids (and Carl) involved. They glued like crazy until those programs were complete. Despite the long process to completion, the programs stayed with the theme of the wedding, classy and beautiful.

Rehearsal Dinner

Carl requested curry, so mom, Heather, Gumby, and Allison each made one. It was very yummy! I overate for the second day in a row. In Carl and Mindy's honor I introduced Pepper to baseball. She did quite well. As you can see her eye is on the ball...or maybe on her dad who is pitching the ball?

Wedding Practice

The beauty of the Redlands SDA Church is hard to capture with photography. It was just remodeled and has the look of a Spanish Mission, with white stucco and a red tile roof. There is also a beautiful courtyard beside the church, with a fountain and flowers. For more pictures check out this link. The rehearsal was well organized and went quickly. Next we headed back to Loma Linda Academy for more food!

The Headpiece

I went looking for the perfect headpiece for the wedding, since my short hair can be so boring. I personally liked this one, but was afraid that my beauty might overshadow the bride...

She loved the water so much. Even when she was grumpy she would keep splashing. She also looked so cute in her swimsuits!

Program Project, Part 3

We still had programs to cut, so we provided the groomsmen with Thanksgiving dinner and then put them to work. They did a great job and soon the cutting was complete. Now for the gluing...
