First Dental Visit

Pepper's first dental trip was a good one. Herb Edwards, a long time family friend, and his wife Eunduk, are both dentists. Eunduk was Pepper's dentist but Herb just happened to stop by the clinic while we were there so he joined in on the visit. It was a bit challenging to get Pepper to cooperate since she was exceedingly suspicious of this new situation, but this first visit was mostly to get her more comfortable with it all. She recieved some neat toys, which helped her warm up a bit. I was only able to get one picture and it is not a great one but I do like that Pepper is keeping an eye on that suspicious guy with a beard behind her.

Pepper knows that Daddy's food is always the best. His cereal is always the sweet kind and it often is fortified with a little cream. Pepper never misses a chance to steal a bite or two.

I will never cease to be amazed at how much my mom gets done while chasing an active toddler around all day. She is the queen of multi-tasking. I often come home from work to a yummy cooked-from-scratch dinner. Mom keeps us stocked with homemade granola and bread. She makes gallons of green juice each week. Not only that but she does laundry and cleaning every week. Yes, I know, we are very spoiled! The most amazing part about this is that often she figures out how to let Pepper "help". This always escalates the mess and time involved in each task, but Pepper loves it! Thank you Mom!

Frank

Pepper has a cute little hoodie towel that she recieved for Christmas, which she absolutely loves! Jo of course had to name the towel so that he could "talk" to Pepper. His name is Frank. This name is in honor of Pepper's Great Grandpa Frank who she never got a chance to meet. Frank wraps her up in a "hug" every evening after her shower. Then ,when his drying duties are done, he gets a scratch on his blue ears and a kiss from Pepper. She gets such a kick out of this fun little routine!

A Different Kind of Snow Day

Today was supposed to be another day of sledding. Unfortunately Pepper woke up grumpy, with a fever. Soon she seemed to improve some with Tylenol, and we all despirately needed to get out of the grey Walla Walla valley, so John, Pat, Jo, Pepper and I headed out for a drive to the mountains. This ended up being a good choice of activities. The sun and snow was so refreshingly beautiful, and Pepper, strapped into her carseat, had no choice but to take a long nap. At the end of our drive we stopped to run around a bit in the snow and enjoy one of our favorite views of the valley.

 

 It is impossible not to laugh with her.

Fondue Party!

To celebrate Grandpa Lee's birthday we decided to try our fondue pot for the first time. What fun it was to dip fruit in lots of chocolate. It was impossible to stop eating. Pepper LOVES and fruit so this was her kind of party. This may be something we need to do again soon!
