This weekend we headed to Spokane for Bloomsday. Our initial attempt at reaching Spokane was Friday night. Everything was going well until we took a wrong exit in Tri-Cities looking for a Taco Bell. Jo flipped a u-turn and then gunned the car as he sped back onto the highway, and then quickly took the correct exit which was a sharp turn. A second later we heard a not-so-nice sound coming from the back seat and I turned around just in time to see a LOT of vomit. Poor Pepper was pretty upset about it all. Jo quickly pulled over at a gas station and we assessed the damage. Thankfully all the puke landed on Pepper and her car seat, not on the car itself. Pepper was an easy clean up, we just changed her pajamas. The car seat was another matter. There was a lot of cleaning to do (poor Jo) and it still stunk so bad even after all that cleaning. I think he used two Costco packs of wipes.
Pepper seemed quite happy once she was clean but we were not going to risk being in a hotel room with a puking child so we headed back home for the night. Thankfully, she was not sick again and we now know that Pepper has issues with motion sickness, just like her mommy and Grandma Pat.
The next day she did great in the car, but Jo was careful not to speed around any corners.

Ugh. I had forgotten about this. SO unpleasant. Hopefully no more similar episodes in the future.
